About Exceljet

Dave Bruns

Hi, I'm Dave Bruns. I founded Exceljet in 2012, and I've spent more than a decade writing about Excel, with a special focus on functions and formulas. My goal with Exceljet is simple: I want to help ordinary people learn Excel with practical examples that are quick, clean, and to the point. Exceljet has grown to include thousands of articles and videos created with that idea in mind.

Excel is an incredibly powerful application, but it's also complicated. I love finding better ways to solve tricky problems in Excel, then explaining the approach clearly. Exceljet is the resource I wish I'd had when I first started learning Excel. Even today, I use Exceljet often.

Excel MVP since 2021

I’m honored to be an Excel MVP (Most Valuable Professional), a special recognition from Microsoft awarded to "technology experts who passionately share their knowledge with the community." Excel MVPs are an extraordinary group of experts from around the globe, and I'm humbled to be in this community.

100% human

It's 2025, and we suddenly find ourselves competing with AI-generated content everywhere. Exceljet is different. I personally write, review, and test everything we publish. Doing things this way takes more time, but it ensures our solutions are reliable and genuinely useful. When you use Exceljet, you're getting content thoughtfully created by someone who cares.

Lisa is an elearning animator. She assembles each video into a short, sweet package that you can finish well before your coffee gets cold.
